ZAMBOANGA CITY - On 16 July 2025, the ZAMBASULTA Regional Sub-Office proudly highlighted the rich bounty of our local farmers through the vibrant Kadiwa-Taboan sa NIA. This special event celebrated the hard work and dedication of Zamboanga City's farmers, especially the members of various Irrigators' Associations (IAs), by showcasing their fresh, homegrown agricultural products.
The activity served not only as a marketplace but also as a dynamic platform to promote agri- entrepreneurship, strengthen farm-to-market linkages, and encourage consumers to support local produce directly from our farmers. Through Kadiwa-Taboan, farmers can sell their goods without middlemen, empowering them to earn fairer returns while providing affordable, fresh produce to the community. This initiative symbolizes the collective commitment to elevate local agricultural development and promote self-reliance among farming communities. It also reinforces the federation's unified efforts to support food security, economic empowerment, and sustainable farming practices.
The continued success of activities like Kadiwa-Taboan sa NIA is a testament to the strong partnership between the National Irrigation Administration (NIA) Region IX and the resilient farmers of Zamboanga City.
