ZAMBOANGA CITY - The Guisao Irrigators Association (IA) held its General Assembly and election of officers on June 14, 2025, paving the way for a leadership transition within the organization. The association conducted the oath-taking ceremony for its newly elected officers on July 15, 2025, at Guisao Multi-Purpose Hall, Zamboanga City. Marking significant milestone in strengthening its organizational leadership.
Barangay Captain Hon. Miguel Arquiza administered the oath of office. The event was witnessed by Mr. Laurence Natividad and Mr. Loyd Senon from the Office of the City Agriculturist, along with Ms. Darlene Sanchez, Institutional Development Officer from the National Irrigation Administration (NIA). After the oath taking, a special meeting was convened to discuss pressing issues and develop immediate plans of action to address operational challenges faced by the association. The activity highlighted the significance of leadership renewal and strengthened coordination among the IA, the Local Government Unit, and support agencies to improve irrigation services and ensure the long-term sustainability of the association's operations.
