NIA Region IX conducted a three-day skills training on basic Photography and Videography on November 23 – 25, 2022 at Chandler Suites, Pagadian City. The training was facilitated by the Training and Education Team (TET) of the Regional Office, and was participated by 27 staff from the Institutional, Public Relations, and Information, Communication, & Technology (ICT) units.
The training aimed to equip participants with basic skills in using cameras and camera settings, understand and appreciate the elements of good photo and video, and develop better strategies for capturing and editing photos or videos that could enhance the quality of documented information.
The first day of the training was focused on photography techniques and application of Adobe Photoshop, lectured by Resource Speaker Honey Adrian C. Naranjo, Videographer and owner Lighthouse Films. The second day was focused on the videography lecture and basic video editing workshop using Adobe Premiere. And the third day, was the presentation of individual photo and video outputs.
Though the three-day training was brief and basic, it was indeed a great benefit not only for the learners to develop new skills but most importantly, for them to able to contribute to the Agency by representing its services the best manner possible through properly edited photos and videos.
