Sindangan, ZDN – The newly installed Regional Manager of NIA Region 9 - Engr. June Nathaniel S. Plaza paid a courtesy call to Hon. Rosendo “Dodoy” Labadlabad, the Municipal Mayor of Sindangan, Zamboanga del Norte on July 31, 2023.
Together with Regional Manager Plaza is the Acting Manager of Zamboanga del Norte Regional Sub-Office (ZDN RSO) – Engr. Wilson N. Cabrales along with the technical staff of the ZDN RSO. Also present during the visit are the district engineers of DPWH – Engr. Aminodin P. Maniri and Engr. Norman C. Carpio; and the staff of Office of the Municipal Mayor.
The visit aims to discuss the irrigation projects in the municipality of Sindangan particularly the Lagag Small Irrigation Project (SIP), Talinga SIP, and Sindangan Communal Irrigation Project (CIS). Also discussed during the meeting is the proposed Sindangan Small Reservoir Irrigation Project (SRIP).
As the new Regional Irrigation Manager, Engr. Plaza commits to prioritize the irrigation projects that need immediate action. Mayor Labadlabad on the other hand, expressed support to the agency in the implementation of its projects in order to address better the needs of its local farmers.
