EPAHP Tabo-an sa NIA CY 2023

The National Irrigation Administration (NIA) is one of the agencies that strongly support the implementation of Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty (EPAHP) program of the Government that aims to mitigate hunger, ensure nutrition security, and reduce poverty. NIA takes part in EPAHP program by providing technical capability enhancement programs to the Irrigators’ Associations (IAs) and establishing linkages with Relevant Interested Parties (RIPs).

Today, NIA Region IX, through the Institutional Development Unit, conducted the YEAR 2 EPAHP TABO-AN SA NIA with the theme “From Farm to Table: A Healthy Meal for All” at NIA Regional Office covered court, Regional Center, Balintawak, Pagadian City. This is also in support of the 49th Nutrition Month celebration.

Regional Manager Engr. June Nathaniel S. Plaza along with Acting Engineering and Operations Division Manager Antonio B. Gujeling and Administrative and Finance Division Manager Joel R. Soriano opened the event with the ceremonial breaking of “Palayok” which symbolizes unity and prosperity.

The EPAHP Tabo-an serves as venue to help the different IAs promote to a wider market their farm produce such fresh fruits and vegetables and other locally made products. Personnel from ten (10) government agencies around the Regional Center in Balintawak have shown their support which contributed much to the success of the activity.
