Thirty two (32) Irrigators Associations (IAs) under the Communal Irrigation Systems (CIS) of Zamboanga City convened for Review and Planning Workshop spearheaded by NIA IX – ZAMBASULTA Regional Sub-Office (ZRSO) headed by Engr. Robert Berni L. Rada on February 23, 2023 at LM Hotel, Zamboanga City.
The activity aimed to present the accomplishments of every IAs so as to share its best practices to its fellow irrigators, and to come up with strategies to implement this year. Also, it served as an avenue to discuss solutions on the issues and concerns encountered by the irrigators.
The IAs were represented by its respective IA Presidents, who individually presented their association’s updates and status. The activity was facilitated by ZRSO’s Institutional Development Unit led by Ms. Leni S. Enriquez. Also present to give guidance to the IAs are the management of NIA Region IX represented by Division Manager for Engineering and Operations Maritez I. Soria together with sections chiefs Mr. Federico A. Dalaota of the Operations Section and Ms. Rosielyn R. Bayawa from the Institutional Section, and also representative from the Zamboanga Peninsula Regional Federation of IAs (RFIA), President Nathan Dawang.
