NIA employees and IAs receive Meat Processing Training

36 trainees from NIA Zamboanga del Norte Regional Sub-Office (ZDN RSO) and select Irrigators Associations (IAs) benefit from the two-day skills training on Meat Processing, being held at ZDN RSO compound on November 10-11, 2022.

The training covers technologies on processing of meat products such as tocino and longganisa. A Good Manufacturing Practices is integrated in the training course to ensure food safety systems and safeguard the quality of the products being produced.

The training is initiated by ZDN RSO management Engr. Wilson N. Cabrales and staff in partnership with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) with an objective to create opportunities and diversify the source of income of its employees and IAs.

NIA is grateful to have Ms. Maria Liza Lee of TESDA for sharing her expertise on this training. The new knowledge and skills learned by the participants will surely help them adapt with the rapid social changes in the society.
