NIA conducts Courtesy Call with Lamitan City Mayor for Proposed Convergence Projects

LAMITAN CITY, BASILAN — On June 24, 2025, the NIA ZAMBASULTA Regional Sub-Office (ZRSO) conducted a courtesy call with Hon. Roderick H. Furigay, Mayor of Lamitan City, to discuss proposed convergence projects in partnership with the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Isabela District Engineering Office.

ZRSO Acting Manager Sandra T. Tero, along with Neil B. Rojas, led the visit and were joined by DPWH Isabela Assistant District Engineer Arnold James Unsag and CENRO Head Allan Tura. The discussion focused on collaborative strategies to support infrastructure development and agricultural sustainability in the city.
Mayor Furigay welcomed the initiative, expressing strong support for partnerships that promote inclusive and resilient development. A technical working group will be formed to identify priority areas and formalize the framework for the convergence efforts. The courtesy call marks a proactive step in fostering inter-agency collaboration aligned with national and local development goals.
