The NIA Region 9 is set to boost its operational capabilities with the arrival of newly acquired Operations and Maintenance (O&M) equipment and vehicles. This latest delivery forms part of the 3rd tranche of NIA's Re-Fleeting Program, aimed at modernizing the Agency's logistical and operational resources nationwide.
Already delivered to the region are seven (7) mini dump trucks, two (2) self-loading trucks, one (1) motor grader, one (1) coaster service bus, and one (1) Toyota Tamaraw. Currently en route to the region are additional heavy equipment, including one (1) long reach excavator, one (1) tractor crawler (dozer), and three (3) backhoe loaders. These units are expected to arrive soon and will further enhance NIA's ability to carry out timely maintenance, rehabilitation, and construction of irrigation systems.
This equipment upgrade marks a significant step in improving service delivery and support to local farmers, ensuring more efficient and reliable irrigation operations throughout Region 9.
