NIA Region IX – ZAMBASULTA ramped up the launch of KADIWA SA NIA: TABO-AN on November 16, 2023 at the grounds of NIA ZAMBASULTA Regional Sub-Office (ZRSO) in Sta. Maria, Zamboanga City. With the theme “Suporta con de aton mismo, compra maga producto desde local siembradores”, the activity aims to support the local farmers promote their products and goods to wider market while ensuring stable supply of affordable and quality agricultural products to consumers.
The event was organized by NIA ZAMBASULTA Regional Sub-Office (ZRSO) headed by Acting Manager Rex L. Armentia in collaboration with its Institutional Development Unit led by Ms. Leni S. Enriquez. Also present on behalf of Regional Manager June Nathaniel S. Plaza are Legal Officer, Katherine Grace C. Lumilis and Supervising Institutional Development Officer, Rosielyn R. Bayawa.
The event was graced by the presence of Zamboanga City Mayor, Hon. John Dalipe wherein he commended the collaborative efforts of NIA, the Department of Agriculture (DA), and the Irrigators Associations. “Bajo na administracion Dalipe, el agricultura y maricultura ta esta como maga prioridad de aton para obtene el sustenabilidad de comida…hay hace kita todo manera para mejora el de ustedes busca-la-vida,” Mayor Dalipe said as he vowed the commitment of the city government to support the local agriculture sector towards sustainability and sufficiency.
Also present showing huge support to the activity were Congressman Khymer Olaso, Zamboanga City District 1 Representative; Mr. Jojo Dalipe representing District 2 Representative Mannix Dalipe, Councilor Joselito Macrohon, Assistant Regional Director Maria Welba Wee of the Department of Agriculture, and Acting City Agriculturist Arben Magdugo.
